Northern Tier's overall concept is: you pay only for those services you need and will not be paying for services you don't need, want, or use. These service fees can either be paid for through charges or by maintaining compensating balances which offset the charges or fees.

Your drafts are stored automatically. When you write a check, your carbonless duplicate along with your corresponding statement is your legal receipt. Your original is paid and stored as a permanent record at no extra cost. A copy is available to you upon request at a minimal charge.

Northern Tier offers two checking account packages:

PERFORMANCE  
Checking is the ultimate account with many benefits, but more importantly, the only thing the member pays for are the checks.

• NO monthly service charges
• NO minimum balance
• NO per check charge

PERFORMANCE  
Checking puts other services to work for you.

• 24 hour access through the EXPRESSPHONE and Northern Tier OnLine Services
• Carbon copy checks at NO EXTRA COST 
• Overdraft protection options:
      -- Regular Savings
      -- Money Market Savings
      -- Overdraft Protection (ODP)

ADVANTAGE  
Checking comes loaded with extras that you're sure to love. Here is the list of services that are offered with ADVANTAGE Checking.

• Money orders, cashiers checks and travelers checks FREE with required combined balance of $1,000
• NO monthly service charge (just maintain a combined balance of $1,000)
• Safe Deposit Boxes at half price (any size if available, MAFB, Minot and Butte offices)
• Overdraft protection, select any two options of the following:

• Premium check blanks available at discount
